The Department of Geological Sciences has received a donation of an updated version of the Move structural geology software from Petroleum Experts Ltd. The Move software enables state-of-the-art cross-section construction and analysis in addition to other tools for studying subsurface deformation. The donation includes 10 licenses of the current version of the software, which are valued over $2.5 million. The updated software will enable students and faculty to apply modern methods to study structural geology questions in classes and research.
